Howard Scholars Academy has been in partnership with American High School since 2012 providing a comprehensive virtual school college preparatory program and college planning service.

Our Virtual Academy and the Howard Scholars Academy consists of a SACS, NCAA, and College Board accredited learning management system using a common core curriculum powered by American High School.

The Howard Scholars Academy works with Full Tilt Ahead in order to ensure we provide a comprehensive and innovative blended learning professional development model. Our team of consultants collaborate with Full Tilt Ahead, a leader in technology driven instructional design and online learning.

In alignment with strategic professional development workshops, instructional focus walks, and additional progress monitoring services, local education agencies will have valid and reliable reporting mechanisms through our Client Portal and ongoing usage of Full Tilt Ahead’s customized professional learning management system for easy access to all PD sessions 24 hours per day 7 days per week.

Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree

Designed for students who plan to transfer to a Florida public four-year institution as a junior to complete a bachelor’s degree program.

Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education

Prepares students seeking careers in early childhood education, child care facility management and/or child care facility ownership.

Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree in Paralegal and Legal Studies

Prepares students to enter the field of paralegal and/or legal assisting and to perform effectively as a part of a legal services team. The course work in the program also serves as an informal primer for students considering law school.

Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree in Criminal Justice Technology

Prepares students for employment in law enforcement or corrections and to meet the needs of persons employed in those fields who want to advance in their professions

Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree in Environmental Science and Technology

Prepares students for a career as an environmental engineering technician or environmental science and protection technician.

Douglasville Parks and Recreation

The Howard Scholars Academy partners with the City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation to provide comprehensive summer camp tutorial services at Hunter Park on Gurley Road and Jessie Davis Park on Malone Street in Douglasville, Georgia.
