Our History

The Howard Scholars Academy, a division of Howard Educational Consulting Group, LLC., was founded by Kisha Howard, a credentialed Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach with a master’s degree in Education Administration and an educational specialist degree in curriculum and instruction. She serves as a Board of Director and Treasurer for the National Black Home Educators, a member of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), and has provided consulting and virtual school services for the homeschool community for over 3 years.

Growing up, Kisha Howard had always been a scholar. With the encouragement and direction of others, she believed she could have achieved much more. So naturally, when she began her career as a teacher, she was passionate about helping students rise above challenges, and change their lives through education. When she founded her first company at the age of 23, her driving force was the love of building children to reach their full potential. She now serves as a change agent, transitioning the minds of children through quality education, at affordable prices for students of all backgrounds.

At Howard Scholars Academy, we believe every child can learn. We have experience assisting mental health, foster care, and homeless youth. No goal is too high for our students to reach, and we refuse to lower expectations and dim their potential. We offer personalized learning plans, strategic services, and quality education, to help our students reach their educational and life ambitions. We aim to help our students to not only learn, but to find their niche, so that they may become independent and productive citizens. Our mission is to “Build student leaders who will add value to the fabric of our community and excel academically, socially, and morally.”
