The Howard Scholars Academy offers a state-of-art Virtual Academy providing strategic online academic programs aligned to Common Core standards serving as a diploma program for grades 3 to 12.

The Howard Scholars Academy provides an affordable elementary to high school diploma program. Our strategic educational support services provide a Dean of Academics, an Academic Administrator, school counselors, Academic Advisors, state certified teachers, and additional consultants to ensure our students receive a quality college preparatory education.

Our graduation requirements consist of 4 English, 4 Mathematics, 3 Science, 3 Social Studies, 1 Fine Arts, 1 Health and PE, and 8 elective courses including over 15 career pathway options.

Howard Scholars Academy powered by American High School, is fully accredited and approved by the highest authorities at the state, regional, national, and international level, including: the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS); AdvancED; the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI).

Our mission for the Virtual Academy is to provide over 300 online courses that are Common Core aligned and SACS-CASI accredited to middle school and high school students with a rigorous and flexible education that will prepare them for post-secondary opportunities.

We offer a complete online common core curriculum for grades 3 to12, in addition to AP courses, ACT test preparation, and tutoring programs. Our virtual Academy Honors and AP track are available for all students. We encourage students to strive for greatness and to excel in all of their academic achievements in the following areas:

Advanced Placement Course(s) or an Advanced College project course has the same expectations with the added intensity of being a college-level course. Students interested in enrolling in our Honors and AP track should expect the following:

College and Career Planning Services

The Howard Scholars Academy offers college and career planning services provide community based organizations and private clients with individualized academic monitoring and college assistance. Our goal is to enhance the opportunity for students to reach their full potential upon college and career program acceptance and enrollment.

Our Howard Scholars Academy experts will serve as an educational liaison between local education agencies and colleges/university systems to fulfill our client’s college or career goals upon graduation. Our college and career planning service is ready to meet each student’s individual needs as early as 6th grade.

We must take a firm look in developing our children as early as 11 years of age to ensure they gain a clear focus to enhance their level of self-efficacy and social-emotional needs while embarking upon various peer interactions that will interfere with their academic and behavioral success during the middle school years.

We strive to provide strategic resources for our 9th to 12th grade students. We are now eligible to offer the Georgia HOPE Scholarship and Move on When Ready (MOWR) dual enrollment opportunities to qualified students.
